The paper offers a power point presentation of the research into the environmental management of cruise liner waste outlining the features of sustainable tourism, describing the pollution caused by cruise liners, and examining the solutions offered by an environmental management system (EMS). EMS structure is described; the policy of preventative actions on a cruise liner is outlined reviewing related legislation and highlighting the importance of the EMS policy commitments.
