This proposal is for a study based on identifying the relationship between Total Quality Management (TQM) and project success. The study aims to identify the extent to which Total Quality Management contributes to successful project delivery, to describe how TQM is applied in projects, to analyse how quality control, planning and improvement affects the quality of the final ‘product’, to analyse how TQM is incorporated into project management within the organization, to evaluate the extent to which TQM can be integrated alongside project management principles, and to analyse if TQM can be extended beyond the project life cycle. The background to the research is identified, along with details regarding the data collection techniques and methodology. The resources that will be used are discussed, as are the limitations and ethical considerations.
