1. This paper focuses on the concept of leadership, and uses the film Apollo 13 to do so. The paper begins by examining the following characters in reference to leadership, Jim Lovell, Gene Kranz, Ken Mattingly, and Dr Chuck. The paper then places the four characters on the Ohio Grid, and this is followed by a discussion of leadership issues within the film. The paper then answers the following questions “What leadership style would you consider most appropriate for a high risk, high tech environment such as that present in NASA”, “Thinking about project management, what lessons have you learned about leadership and team working from watching the film”, and “What qualities do you demand from a leader and why? Give an example of someone you consider to be an effective leader and discuss how they meet your requirements”.
