The paper analyses the play “Stuff Happens” by David Hare devoted to the events in Iraq, staged by the National Theatre. The production is discussed in the theatrical, historical and cultural context with the attempt to reconstruct the documentary materials the play is based on. The work of the actors playing George Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Tony Blaire, Colin Powell, etc. is analyzed arguing whether the production remains unbiased, the staging and design of the production are described.
