This dissertation examines the National Health Service (NHS) and aims to assess if there is a positive relationship between a flexible work life balance and levels of work related stress amongst doctors and nurses there. The review of literature defines the work life balance, and follows this with a discussion regarding the theories behind the work life balance, the effectiveness and benefits of it, and various developments. Data is collected through surveys and interviews at a NHS hospital. The findings from the data collection techniques are assessed, and the study concludes with recommendations.
