This essay introduces the concept of autism and draws attention to the three main psychological accounts of the differing aspects of autism: theory of mind deficit (Baron-Cohen, 1995), a weak drive for central coherence (Frith and Happe, 1994) and the executive dysfunction. This essay therefore aims to compare the 'Theory of Mind' and 'Weak Central Coherence' accounts of autism and draw the conclusions upon the findings.
