The dissertation explores the impact of the international anti-corruption measures seeking to evaluate whether the introduced legislation succeeded in reducing corruption and bribery, and to identify the factors that cause corruption to persist. Literature is reviewed on the harmful effects of corruption on society, the international instruments and conventions against corruption, etc. The history of the fight against corruption in the UK is examined with reference to related jurisdiction, business responses to corruption through corporate social responsibility (CSR) are discussed. The effects of the international anti-corruption law are evaluated suggesting possible reforms in this area.
