The aim of the paper is to explain how the concepts work as well as discussing both terms in relation to international financial services. Over-the-Counter (OTC) derivatives are also analysed in regard to the ‘salient feature’ of the derivatives, namely their flexibility. The paper then concludes with a summary of Permanent global bonds, syndicated loans and OTC derivatives.
