This paper analyses the responsibility that every state has to ensure that individuals have the right to food within its territory. The paper defines the tern ‘right to food’ focusing on the International Covenant on Economic, Social & Cultural Rights (ICESCR). The impact that large scale acquisition of land has had upon the right to food and on individual rights.
