This paper presents two case studies regarding employment law, and aims to provide resolutions to each scenario. The first case involves a woman who has returned from maternity leave and has now requested to work three days from home weekly. Her HR line manager is concerned about her request. The second scenario focuses on a man that has missed work due to his poorly father, he has now been summoned to a disciplinary meeting for unauthorized absence. The paper provides solutions to both scenarios with reference to employment law.
