This dissertation examines the protection of minority shareholders. The objectives are to consider what protection and remedies were available to shareholders before the enactment of the Companies Act 2006, to assess whether or not they were adequate to protect the shareholder, and to distinguish benefits between the old and new regime. The dissertation takes the structure of a literature review, and discusses a wide variety of topics.
