The paper examines the function of the Parliamentary Ombudsman (PO) defining the concept of “ombudsman”, and discussing it in general terms and in relation to the PO role in the UK. Application procedure for redress to OP is discussed looking at the ways to deal with acts of 'maladministration'. The limits placed upon the actions of PO are considered.
