This paper examines the use of teacher questions in relation to both learning and teaching. The overall aim of the paper is to examine how questions are used within the classroom, and to assess how it affects the students learning process. The paper carries out a review of literature, before the methodology is provided. The study evaluates six classroom environments, three maths and three English, and details all of the findings. The limitations of the study are outlined, and the paper bases recommendations on the findings.
