The paper proposes to examine the role of information communication technology (ICT) in teaching the Arabic language within the primary school setting of Saudi Arabia. The aims and objectives of the research are outlined, literature is reviewed on the issues of primary school education in Saudi Arabia, the impact of ICT on children’s acquisition of literacy skills is discussed. Research methodology is described, the timetable of the work is presented.
