This paper examines the use of technology in education, and aims to assess the impact it has on the attainment of students. The study aims to determine what technology is available for use in educational settings, to determine what impacts these technologies have on student learning, in terms of their impacts on factors such as absenteeism, motivation and drop-out rates, amongst other factors, to determine what impact these technologies have on student attainment, and to determine the ways in which technology affects educational attainment overall, by looking at the interaction of the impacts of such technology on students and the impact of these technologies on student attainment. The methodology section is presented, as well as a review of the technologies available. The review of literature assesses a wide range of topics that address how technology benefits student learning and attainment.
