This paper compares a state school and a private school in relation to economic and social factors like the curriculum, GCSE results, funding etc. An overview of both agencies is given, suggesting the problems with both. An appendix giving statistics on the GCSE performance of the state and private school is provided, and this information is used in the paper. Both agencies are criticised and the paper concludes by suggesting changes both should make.
