The dissertation looks at the role of leadership and team diversity in the success of project management. The review of literature touches on the theory of project management and team management including Belbin’s theory of team roles, the challenges of team leadership, the issues of team diversity and team motivation, etc. A case study is conducted of a project team in the UK fashion retailer Primark. The methods of the research are based on secondary data and primary data obtained from a survey questionnaire completed by the project team members and a structured interview with the project leader. Conclusions are made about the role of team motivation in the successful accomplishment of the project.
