The dissertation looks at the benefits and shortcomings of e-recruitment proposing an E-Recruitment Placement Activity (RPA) information system that can overcome the shortcomings of other websites. Literature is reviewed on the theoretical underpinnings of recruitment, the development of online recruitment, potential barriers to recruitment via the Internet, etc. A review of the existing recruitment websites in the UK is presented, their limitations are outlined. RPA information system is created describing the models and techniques used in its development, the IS design and requirements, the tools and technologies used in its implementation. Conclusions are made about the challenges of the project and the results of the system's evaluation.
