The dissertation looks at the option of online job exchange addressing the issue of Internet recruitment and reporting on a project aimed to provide improved job opportunities for communities faced with recruitment problems. Detentions of the Internet and World Wide Web are discussed, areas of e-commerce and e-businesses are identified, recruitment problems in multiple communities are reviewed. A web-based tool (Jobs4U) is developed to facilitate the exchange of job-related information between the customer and the Service Provider presenting information on various facets of the product design, web technologies used in the project, the methodology of the research, analysis of recruitment websites, the methods of session tracking, etc. The process of the software development is detailed explaining the design and content of the web pages, client-server operations, database manipulation, etc. Conclusions are made about the functionalities of the Jobs4U system and its compliance with job application requirements.
