The paper looks at the cultural dimensions of job satisfaction examining its parameters in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and in Saudi Arabia. The first part of the paper presents a review of the article “Comparing levels of job satisfaction in the countries of Western and Eastern Europe” by Borooah discussing different sources of job satisfaction in the East and in the West. The second part examines the key determinants of job satisfaction in Saudi Arabia reporting on primary research conducted via a questionnaire among Saudi respondents. Conclusions are made about the factors affecting job satisfaction.
