This proposal presents research on human resource outsourcing (HRO) and the way it affects performance management and motivation. The background of the topic is outlined, discussing the literature surrounding it. The proposal has three aims, to critically understand HRO in light of strategic management conceptualisations, to analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of adopting HRO in motivational and performance dimensions of employees, and to recommend HRO strategies to optimise the cost gains, while motivating employees for high performance.
