This paper focuses on the Northport night’s hotel group, and aims to assess the HR practices in place there. The study aims to review current methods of recruitment and selection, including medians for advertising, selection interviewing and induction, to analyse staff turnover rates with a view to increasing staff retention by exploring possibilities of employee benefits, performance appraisal and training and development, to explore the possibility of numerical and functional flexibility, and to identify areas for improvement in line with legislation e.g. recruitment, retirement and dismissals.
