The essay has been aimed at analyzing the impact on the image of tourist spots and destinations by their manipulation in the print media. In order to achieve the aim of this essay, the case study of Scottish Highlands in the light of national newspapers, weekend newspaper travel supplements, brochures, and travel guides has been used. The analysis highlights the 'authentic' experience projection, cultural and social construction of space, and marginality associated with this tourist spot in the printed media.
