This paper examines polar bear viewing in Arctic Canada, and aims to assess the impact that the environment has on the experience of the wildlife viewers. The paper outlines the profile of the wildlife viewer, and discusses the wildlife viewing experience. The case study of the Churchill area in Canada is introduced, and the paper then assesses the human polar bear interaction and viewer satisfaction. The behaviour of the polar bear viewer is discussed before conclusions are made.
