The present paper reviews triple-bottom-line concept in relation to the issue of sustainable development which is the primary driver of the concept. Sustainable development involves a broad rethinking of society and its development in terms of interaction of various internal and external elements and the possible outcome of this interaction. The paper will review the way is incorporated into the philosophy of sustainable development of what kind of imperatives this concept introduce for various stakeholders of global tourism industry.
