The dissertation examines the impact of macro environmental factors on the strategic operations of UK full service hotels. Literature is reviewed on the features of the full service hotel sector, its role in the economy of the UK, the impacts of the crisis on the UK hotel sector, a framework of service operations, environmental variables that influence hospitality service operations, etc. The methodology is based on the combination of secondary and primary research including analysis of the data provided by interviews with the stakeholders of UK hotels. Conclusions are made about favourable and unfavourable macro environmental factors that influence strategic operations of the UK full service hotels.
