This dissertation examines Easyjet, the low budget airline company, and aims to discuss extending operations to China. The paper has four objectives, to examine the management issues that Easyjet face, to assess whether fuel costs are an issue, to identify the cost/budgeting issues, and to assess the operational issues. The dissertation aims to propose solutions to all of the issues mentioned. The background to Easyjet is provided, and the review of literature examines low cost carriers, and provides a definition for it. The dissertation then thoroughly examines the issues that Easyjet face including managerial economics, capital budgeting, financial capabilities, and human resource management. The leadership and management approaches are examined in great detail. Data is collected through use of the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire, which was accompanied by a descriptive cover letter. The research sampling is evaluated, as is the limitations of the research. The findings are then presented and analysed, and the relationship between leadership skills and organisational outcomes are examined.
