This paper presents a critical reflection on the research methods adopted by different research studies on globalisation and its strategic challenges. The studies that the paper aims to analyse were completed by Asgary and Walle (2002), Sonnenfeld and Spence (1991), Meffert and Bloch (1991), Sachs (2005), and Floyd (2001), and brief definitions revealing the purpose of each study has been detailed. After analysing the research methods used for the studies, the paper identifies the most relevant research strategies, to be used to complete a future study on globalisation and its strategic challenges stating that structured interviews, observations, and questionnaires.
