This proposal explores the various reasons why more individuals in the UK, aren’t becoming successful entrepreneurs, focusing on what business education and knowledge is necessary and what financial, environmental, personal and behavioural traits are required. The barriers and challenges will be indentified, and the proposal aims to produce possible solutions. The literature review focuses on theories from academics like Lumpkin and Dess, Kuratko, Collins, Smith and Hannon and Gibb. The research methodology is clearly structured and will consist of desk research of data from primary and secondary sources, quantitative analysis, summarising data from charts, tables, surveys etc, and qualitative analysis, involving categorisation, developing and testing hypotheses.
