This paper presents an analysis of “SK Telecom: Pursuing Happiness through Corporate Social Responsibility” case study by Marquis, Ryu, Mirvis and Thomason.In contemporary businesses, CSR has evolved from a social obligation that links companies to ethical behaviour, community development, employee welfare, legal compliances and transparency to a corporate philosophy which involves strategic decision – making and is linked with the overall business strategies of the firm. An analysis is made of the strategy and organisational design of the corporate social responsibility programme at SK Telecom, a leading mobile communications provider based in South Korea.
