The paper investigates stress parameters in plates with one hole, two holes and a crack predicting the principle stress round the holes, identifying the influence of mesh density, etc. References are made to non-linear and linear geometry, the mechanical properties of elastic and elasto-plastic material are discussed. Conclusions are made about the results of the Finite Element analysis of the studied model.
