The paper reports on two schemes of crude oil transportation comparing transfer techniques of offshore fluid from Tantalum Field to the local facility. The use of booster pumps in the pipelines is contrasted to the newly developed screw pumps evaluating the positive and negative aspects of each method. Problems of oil transportation by tank ships are outlined.
