The paper reports on a laboratory experiment conducted to devise an active filter circuit using passive elements consisting of resistors and capacitors. Theoretical underpinnings of electronic filter design are reviewed describing the features of passive and active filters, the basic linear elements filters are composed of, the filter circuit, cut-off frequency, etc. Related calculations and the results of the experiment are presented, the value of the experiment is assessed.
