The assignment looks at literature on community involvement, and considers why young people may be excluded from urban policy making and implementation and suggests how local government might seek to involve them. Exploration of urban policy and local government is made and then issues as to why young people may be excluded are considered. It is argued that children and young people are not given a voice and therefore do not feel engaged and tend to build their own communities.
