This paper examines foreign direct investment (FDI) and begins by identifying different inflows and outflows in different regions worldwide. The paper then focuses on the link between FDI and economic growth in China and analyses the period between 1990-2010. The growth model used is identified, and the paper presents the empirical results from the regression analysis used. The paper then analyses India using a growth model. Conclusions are made regarding inflexible labour laws, incentives, and unattractive social environment.
