This paper discusses the way in which multinational companies have influenced the USA, Germany, South Korea and Japan after the Second World War, and is split into three sections. The first section answers this question, “With reference to both Germany and Japan, assess the extent to which the business structures established before World War II explain the long period of economic growth that the country experienced after the War”. The second section answers this question, “Assess the relative roles of the state and the private business sector in the growth of the South Korean economy during the last third of the twentieth century”. The last section answers this question “Explain why the principal multinational companies in computer hardware and software had their origins primarily in the United States and Japan’. This paper does not include a reference list.
