This dissertation aims to explore economic growth in transition economies to find the key determining factors that affect its development using Poland, Russia and the Ukraine as case studies. The literature review discusses theories of economic growth, using empirical analyses to further the discussion. Data is collected through secondary literature, case study analysis, and by collecting data from Thomson Datasteam and WorldBank. The paper concludes with a summary of the similarities and differences between the three case studies, whilst connect them with theoretical points and empirical evidence.
