The main purpose of this paper is to provide an assessment of empirical evidence on the effects of globalization for developing economies. The paper is focused on the following questions: Does globalization promote economic growth in developing countries? What are the effects of the financial integration and trade liberalization on economic growth in emerging markets? Which economic model can better accommodate needs of the developing countries?
