The dissertation reports on the design and implementation of an e-marketing system for supermarkets. The review of literature touches on the limitations of the existing e-marketing architectures used by UK supermarkets. An e-marketing toolkit East End Online is developed using the .NET technologies and providing details on the planning, implementation, costs and benefits analysis, risk assessment, and testing of the proposed e-marketing system. The functions of the system are outlined, its PESTEL and SWOT features are described, analysis of all stakeholders involved in the project is conducted. The methods of the research are based on secondary data. Conclusions are made about the use of different methods of software development highlighting the gains and limitations of the project.
