The dissertation looks at the benefits and challenges of mobile and online banking reviewing academic literature on the Internet banking technology, consumers’ behaviour towards new technology, social and cognitive factors behind learning behaviour, the growing adoption of mobile banking caused by the proliferation of smart phones, etc. A study is conducted of mobile banking services in Singapore. The methodology of the dissertation is based on secondary research and primary research performed via questionnaires. Conclusions are made about the gap between the international mobile banking services and local mobile banking services in Singapore. Recommendations are suggested about the ways to improve mobile banking services in Singapore.
