The dissertation examines mobile payment models adopted in the UK. Literature is reviewed on the UK mobile commerce (m-commerce) market and the telecom industry, the growing use of smart phones, current and proposed mobile payment processing systems (PPS), advantages and disadvantages of various payment processing methods, factors influencing consumers’ intention to use mobile payment methods, etc. The methodology of the research is based on secondary sources. Conclusions are made about the strengths and weaknesses of mobile payment processing models suggesting further development of payment processing methods for mobile commerce.
