This discussion is focused on whether the internet and online shopping has been able to replace the needs of the high street and whether consumers are increasingly showing a preference for online shopping rather than high street shopping. According to recent studies there have been changes in the trend of consumer buying behaviour and most consumers consider online shopping safer and cheaper than high street shopping. Some high street retailers have opened up additional online facilities to promote their products and also to improve sales. This discussion would show whether the trend of online buying would add to high street shopping or simply replace it.
