This dissertation focuses on terrorism and tourism, and aims to assess the affects it has on the industry. The objectives are to identify the process of tourist decision making, the main factors that influence it and risk awareness in this process, to analyze to what extent awareness of terrorism affect tourist decision making, and to critically evaluate the behavioural change in travel as a result of awareness of terrorism and its risk to tourists. The study identifies the cases of tourism and terrorism in Egypt, Kenya and Bali. The review of literature discusses topics like decision making, risk, and risk perception. All aspects of the methodology are discussed in detail, and the data collection methods are also highlighted. The dissertation then presents all of the results, and concludes with recommendations.
