This dissertation examines the extent to which green practices affect consumer choice. The objectives are to explore the practice of sustainability in hospitality firms, focusing on hotels in the UK, to examine factors that customers expect to get from green hotels, to investigate elements that influence customers during the leisure hotel buying and selection process, and to find out what needs to be implemented, adapted and improved in terms of sustainability to create buying preference and ensure that hotels remain profitable and stay eco-friendly. The review of literature defines sustainability and discusses topics like consumer preference and sustainability practice in hotels. The methodology is provided in detail, and data is collected through use of focus group interviews and questionnaires. The results are analyzed, and the study concludes all of the findings.
