This research methodology and findings paper contains research on the power distance index. The key objectives are to evaluate the importance of understanding Power Distance to deal with and manage people coming from different cultural/environmental contexts in organizations, to analyse what type of organisational structure and management styles are most suitable for Brazilian organisations, and to analyse what type of organisational structure and management styles are most suitable for British organisations, taking account UK’s position on the Power Distance Index. The sources of data collection are examined, and the paper uses a questionnaire to obtain information. The remainder of the paper identifies all of the results from the questionnaire.
