The dissertation explores the management practices of 'green' supply chain that UK companies can apply in order to promote the global environmental sustainability. The review of literature touches on the policies of environmental sustainability highlighting the obstacles to their successful implementation. A number of UK companies are examined to identify their need for environmental solutions and reveal the gap between the environmental needs and the companies’ practices. Conclusions are made about the 'green' approaches that UK companies can employ suggesting recommendations for successful management of a green supply chain.
