This dissertation aims to examine the beneficial effects that cultural events can have on tourism and local communities, and uses the Notting Hill Carnival as a case study. The study aims to understand the impacts of the Notting Hill Carnival on tourism to the local area and to London as a whole, and to explore the impacts of the Notting Hill Carnival on the host community.
