The dissertation looks at the features and scope of employee training in manufacturing SME (small and medium-sized enterprises) examining the impact of training measures on the company performance. The review of literature touches on the importance of employee training and development, the training strategies used in SME, etc. The methods of the research are based on quantitative and qualitative analysis of secondary data and primary data obtained via a questionnaire distributed among SME employees. Conclusions are made about a positive relationship between training initiatives measured by training expenditures and the performance of SME.
