This dissertation focuses on Vocational education and training (VET) and aims to examine the impact that it has on employee performance outcomes. The dissertation uses Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) as a case study, and data is collected through use of interviews at the organisation. The study has a range of objectives, some of which are to study and appraise the array of VET procedures as engaged in by management, to develop a characteristic profile of the typical VET candidate, with particular reference to socio-demographic parameters, and to understand the influence of context and culture by adopting an international perspective in order to gain an idea of where VET is best implemented. The review of literature examines the reasons why VET is important, as well as the people that it targets. The way in which VET benefits businesses is evaluated, as is the disadvantages of VET. The methodology is detailed, and the paper outlines what approaches were taken to obtain information. The dissertation then details and analyses all of the research findings.
