The dissertation investigates export challenges faced by SME in the Moroccan citrus industry presenting an overview of Moroccan agriculture, defining the status of the citrus industry, describing the citrus-growing regions of Morocco and their climate, etc. The review of literature touches on the nature of SME (small and medium-sized enterprises), SME marketing strategies, internal and external export barriers in the developing countries, the theory of internationalization, the use of networking in marketing, etc. The methods of the research are based on secondary data analysis and the primary data obtained through in-depth interviews with ten SME owners/managers in the region of Agadir. Recommendations are suggested for Moroccan SME about the effective ways to develop an export business in the citrus industry.
